Manali

Nainital
Nainital is commonly known as the "Lake City", as it is located around the 'Nayana Tal'. The city is a beautiful mixture of all the colors of nature. This mesmerizing example can be seen in the first look of the city itself. On one hand, the city surrounds the lake, whereas on the other hand it is surrounded by seven hills known as "Sapta-Shring", which consist of the following hills- Ayarpata, Deopata, Handi-Bandi, Naina, Alma, Lariya-Kanta and Sher-Ka-Danda. Nainital used to be the summer capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh during the British regime and remained so for many years even after Independence. As per the legend, when Lord Shiva was carrying the body of his consort Sati, who had jumped into the sacrificial fire-Havankund organized by her father Daksha Prajapati, her (Sati's) eyes dropped out at this place and thus it came to be known as "Nayana Tal" or Nainital.
 
Kodaikanal
located amidst the folds of the verdant Pali hills is one of the most popular serene hill stations in India, which mesmerizes any visitor. With her wooded slopes, mighty rocks, enhancing waterfalls and a beautiful lake, Kodai kanal is a charming hill station of South India. Kodai kanal is situated at an altitude of about 2,133-m high and covers an area of 21.45-sq-km. The hill town is renowned for its educational institutions of international repute. The pride of Kodai kanal is the 'Kurinji-flower', which blossoms once in 12 years. The hill-plantain fruits and plums are known for their freshness and taste.
 
Ooty
Udhagamandalam (Ooty), the capital of Nilgiri district, is popularly known as the "Queen of hill stations' among the tourist circuits. It is situated at a distance of 105 km away from Coimbatore. The height of the hills in the Nilgiri range varies between 2280 and 2290 metres, the highest peak being Doddabetta at a height of 2623 metres.
 
Munnar
A beautiful hill station at attitude of 1300 to 1800 mtrs is 139 km from Kochi. The town is situated on the confluence of the 3 mountain streams. Some of the largest tea estates are seen around Munnar.Eravikulam wild sanctuary is only 20 km from Munnar.
